Joel joined RSI after more than 25 years of ministry experience as a Pastor of Worship and Music in the local church. His passion for the ministry of stewardship comes from seeing churches experience profound spiritual growth and individual lives transformed through an authentic stewardship journey. A gifted leader, teacher and motivational speaker in the field of relational, holistic stewardship, Joel feels a deep calling to serve the local church by helping them steward and resource their vision to reach people for Christ.
As a part of the RSI team for over 10 years, Joel has assisted more than 90 churches in raising over $430 million. Joel served on the consulting team for Calvary Chapel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who raised $105 million, the largest known church campaign in America. He helped Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City raise $19 million to meet the needs of their growth and expanding ministries. Joel also served on the consulting teams for Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in Menlo Park, California ($12m), Granger Community Church in Granger, Indiana ($7.7m), and Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia ($26m).

Joel received a Bachelor's degree in Music from Troy University and a Master's degree from Southwestern Seminary.

 

A resident of Shelby, North Carolina, Joel is the husband of Donna, father of Cindi, Jeremy, and Jenni, and grandfather of Alexis, Addison, and Carter. In his spare time, he enjoys writing music, running, hunting, fishing, and participating in outdoor activities of all kinds. Joel and Donna are active in their church in Shelby.
